(9/2021) Frederick County Launches Broadband Internet Access

The Frederick County Division of Interagency Information Technologies will launch a Broadband Internet Access Survey to identify where there are homes and businesses in the community that do not have access to reliable broadband services. The survey asks residents and businesses a few basic questions and provides a way to measure internet speeds at their locations.

The survey is being released as an early step in the County’s efforts to better serve portions of Frederick County that fall in internet dead zones.

"The need for reliable internet service is clear. It’s essential for work, school and many day-to-day activities," County Executive Jan Gardner said in her Public Information Briefing Thursday, announcing the launch of the survey.

To take the survey visit FrederickCountyMD.speedsurvey.org. The surveys will be available through Thursday, Sept 30.
