Brass Band Music 7th Annual
Gettysburg Brass Band Festival

Gettysburg, PA - June 1, 2004 - The sound of brass, drums and bugle corps will fill the air in Gettysburg June 12, 18, 19 and 20. For six years, the Gettysburg Brass Band Festival has earned a reputation as one of the premier musical events in the region. The festival brings top talent brass bands from the East Coast and beyond, as well as a collection of world champion Drum Corps. This June 12, 18, 19, and 20, join the festivities of the 7th Annual Gettysburg Brass Band Festival.

The Festival launches Saturday, June 12th, at 5:30 p.m. at the Gettysburg College Musselman Stadium. Performances include the Lancers Senior Alumni Drum & Bugle Corps of Hanover, PA; former National Champions, the Crossmen Drum & Bugle Corps; and The Cadets Drum & Bugle Corps, the 8-time Drum Corps International (DCI) World Champion. Admission is $6.00 in advance and $8.00 at the gate. Tickets can be purchased at the American Civil War Museum, the Gettysburg/Adams Chamber of Commerce, Gettysburg Village Factory Stores, Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce, T&S Gifts & Mementos, and the Days Inn. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 18th through the 20th, will feature non-stop performances of Brass Band Concerts beginning Friday evening from 6-8:30 PM and will continue Saturday from 10 AM to 7 PM. The final performance begins Sunday at 7 PM at the Rec Park Amphitheater. Performance locations are located throughout the community, from the now serene Gettysburg National Park to the historic Lincoln Square. Performances will also take place at Hickory Bridge Farms, 96 Hickory Bridge Road, Orrtanna, PA, just 15 minutes west of Gettysburg, and the Gettysburg Village Factory Stores on Route 97 South. All performances June 18-20 are free to the public. Donations are greatly appreciated to continue this annual event.
