Auditions Set for
Two Gettysburg Stage Shows

(9/2) Auditions for the Gettysburg Stage production of Abe Polsky's "Devour the Snow," directed by David Deal, will be held Sunday, September 16 at 2 p.m. and Monday, September 17 at 7 p.m. at the Keefauver Center, 157 Lefever Street in Gettysburg.

Roles are for seven men, ages mid-20s to mid-40s. One male role is for a large mountain-man type.

Three roles are for women, two between 25 and 45, and one an early to mid-teens.

These auditions are open to everyone. Please bring a resume. No prepared pieces are needed, as scripts will be provided.

Performance dates for "Devour the Snow" are Nov. 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17.

Auditions for Gettysburg Stage’s "The Oldest Profession" by Paula Vogel , directed by Pamela Hurlbert, will be held Saturday, January 5, 2008, at 10 a.m. in the Keefauver Center in Gettysburg.

There are openings for five female characters ranging in age from 30s to 60s. Each character will be required to sing and dance a choreographed number. Chorus line quality is not expected, only that the actors will be able to follow directions and carry a tune.

Help is also needed with props for this show. The 2008 performance dates are April 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19 at Keefauver Center.

Volunteers are needed for props, lighting, sound, sets, costumes, stage managing, box office, placing posters and other skills or interests.
