(3/1) Classical duo Jennifer Rundlett and Candice Mowbray will be joined by cellist Frank McKinster for "Lovely Sounds, Beautiful Spaces," a flute, guitar and cello recital on Sunday, March 18, at 2 p.m. in the Immaculate Conception Chapel at Mount St. Mary’s University. The performance will feature music from Bach, Ravel, Giuliani and Villa-Lobos, among many others. Admission for the event is free.

Rundlett and Mowbrayboth of whom are classically trainedare instructors at various institutions, including Mount St. Mary’s. The duo first began performing together seven years ago. In their most recent concert, themed "Exotic Inspirations," they performed compositions by Ibert, Doppler and Pujol.

Hagerstown Magazine recently named Mowbray one of the "Top Five People to Watch." The guitarist performs more than 50 times a year in solo concerts, chamber music recitals, private engagements and jazz performances. A featured performer at numerous venues in Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia, she also plays regularly at the Shaharazades Exotic Persian Tea Room in Shepherdstown, W.Va.

Frank McKinster is a member of the Covington String Quartet, established in 2001. The group performs both classical and contemporary compositions, with a focus on 18th and 19th century quartet masters, and serves as the resident quartet for the Sunderman Conservatory of Music of Gettysburg College.
