Full moon: June's full moon occurs on June 14th at it is sometimes called the strawberry moon because of the many strawberry blossoms that make their appearance during this time. It is also referred to as the full rose moon because roses bloom near the beginning of June.

Eisenhower signed the order adding the words 'Under God' to the pledge of allegiance in June, 1954 and in 1967, president Lyndon B.
