For the month of April, temperatures will be average with Precipitation to be average as well.

Weather Watch: Fair and cold (1,2,3) with light rain or snow (4,5). Fair and colder (6,7,8) with rain, snow and cool temperatures (9,10). Breezy and warmer (11,12,13,14) with showers and Storms 15,16,17). Fair and warm (18,19) with mild temperatures and showers (20,21). Fair and warm again (22,23,24,25,26) with scattered showers and storms (29,30).

Tornado Watch: The Almanack predicts some tornado activity at the end of the month on the 30th.

Full Moon: April's Full Moon occurs on the 5th at 6:30AM and is known as Pink Moon because many flowers that turn pink and bloom during April. It also referred to as Fish Moon because fishing picks up as the days get warmer.

Special Notes: It's tax time once again. Compare your current return with last years and look for any deductions you might have missed. Remember that amended tax returns can be fled up to 3 years later using IRS Form 1040X. Be sure you contributed the maximum to your IRA (contributions can be made up until April 15th), and if your current refund exceeds $500,consider filing a new W-4 with your employer to reduce the amount withheld.

Holidays: Celebrate Easter Sunday on April 11th with family and friends and be sure to attend the church of your choice. Enjoy this time of rebirth and celebrate the coming of Spring. It's right around the corner!

The Garden: That's right, Spring has been officially here since March 21st and the weather will be getting warmer soon. Spend those warmer days outside removing debris from garden beds and getting your garden tools ready and in order. Check out the over 80 varieties of trees available at low cost on the National Arbor Day Foundation's website at www.arborday.org and plant a tree on Arbor Day on the 26th.
