Captain John C. Horner

 

 

War Record

Captain. Enlisted on August 27, 1861. Resigned on June 10, 1862 due to health reasons. His son was Lt. John Ross Horner enlisted into the 20th (80th) New York State Militia Co. K. He was killed in Virginia. Captain Baldwin of the same company wrote to Captain Horner with the news and also where his sons body was buried. Mrs. Sarah J. Horner was living at Two Taverns Adams County, Pa. during the outbreak of the Civil War. Sarah was the mother
