 Mrs. Doris Stouter

Mrs. Doris Lee Fox Stouter, 79, of Scott Rd., Emmitsburg, Md., died Thursday, January 5, at Frederick Memorial Hospital, Frederick, Md.

Born August 13, 1926 in Rocky Ridge, Md., she was a daughter of the late Leslie W. and Birdie Troxell Fox.

Surviving is her husband, Charles F. Stouter, whom she married May 9, 1944.

She was a member of Incarnation United Church of Christ, Emmitsburg, Md., and an avid bingo player.

Surviving in addition to her husband are four sons and a daughter, C. Roald Stouter and wife Dianne of Thurmont, Maureen A. Markle and husband George of Hanover, Pa., Gary A. Stouter and companion Brenda Flenner of Emmitsburg, Bart M. Stouter and wife Loretta of Woodsboro and Brett M. Stouter and wife Terry of Fairfield, Pa.; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a special friend, Barbara Willard of Thurmont, Md.

She was preceded in death by a son, David L. Stouter; and a sister, Carmen Harner.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 7 at 11 a.m. from Incarnation United Church of Christ, W. Main St., Emmitsburg, Md., with her pastor, the Rev. Reginald Rice, officiating.

Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. at the Skiles Funeral Home, 210 W. Main St., Emmitsburg, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Incarnation United Church of Christ, P.O. Box 427, Emmitsburg, MD 21727-0427.

Pallbearers will be grandsons Jeff Stouter, Mike Stouter
